Since I started couponing a few months ago I’ve got ALOT of free or super cheap items. Not long ago there were coupons for $1 off of one Johnson & Johnson Red Cross product. Using those coupons I scored quite a few First Aid To Go kits from the travel/trial section of Target. For $.97 each these are perfect for your purse, diaper bag, and even the car! The kit comes in a plain white plastic case that is PERFECT to decorate! I thought I’d create a little how-to since this makes for a quick and easy project.
Here’s what you’ll need:

Supplies:
- Johnson & Johnson First Aid To Go! (found in the travel/trial size aisle)
- Epson Matte Premium Presentation Paper
- Scissors
- Adhesive – I used Zip Dry Paper Glue. It adheres paper to just about anything with NO WRINKLES!
- Corner Chomper/Rounder (optional)
- Digital Scrapbooking Kit: SuzyQ Scraps Ouchies & Ickies & Laugh Out Loud Alpha
Step 1 – Create the layout for the front and backs in the graphics editor of your choice using SuzyQ Scraps Ouchies & Ickies kit and the Laugh Out Loud Alpha. I used a 3″ x 3.5″ rectangle that fit perfectly in case you’re wondering what the dimensions are. Once you’re done designing your pieces print out on Epson Matte Premium Presentation Paper and cut out. I used my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper to round the edges.

Step 2 – Using my Zip Dry Paper Glue I made a thin line around the front of the container near the indent. I also squiggled some in the center as well for a better bond. Then I QUICKLY placed the front sheet on and smoothed out the air pockets and wrinkles. If you use Zip Dry glue, you’ll want to work quickly because this glue dries FAST!

Step 3 – Since there isn’t any indentation on the back of the case to use as a guide when using my glue, I ran a line of adhesive about 1/4″ in from the edges of the paper and squiggled some in the center. Working quickly I placed the print out onto the back and smoothed out the wrinkles.

Quick & Easy! Here’s the completed project:

Normally I would share a PDF of the file so that you can create your own, however according to SuzyQ Scraps Terms of Use, I’m not allowed to create freebies with her files. If you’re wanting to create your own boo boo kits using the Ouchies & Ickies kit be sure to check out her shop at Scrap Orchard. The kit is FULL of wonderful digi-goodness!
Hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
