A couple months ago when I was asked by Paulina to join the DeNami Design Team I was asked to come up with a card sketch for this months challenge. Using sketches as a starting point for your projects is WONDERFUL and can incite such creativity. But having to sit there trying to come up with a sketch by a specific deadline…not easy for me! I had such a HARD time sitting there trying to sketch out my card. Talk about a creative BLOCK…ugh! So instead of driving myself bonkers, I decided to sit with a few of my favorite DeNami stamps and my most used color palette and JUST PLAY!
Since I started with the card first and had it turned into a sketch, I’ll do the same on my blog. Here’s the card I made from my “creative play”

No surprise that I sat down with DeNami’s Brushed Seashell line from Tropical Dreams huh! I sure wasn’t surprised. I swear, I use these stamps EVERY CHANCE I GET!
And here’s the sketch that came from my card:

Kanani, this sketch is super fabulous!!! I loved creating my card based on it. I am sure I will use it again and again! I love those seashells! A gorgeous card!!!
Love the sketch and how it came to be…playing around often brings great ideas! Love the way you did your bead board, will have to remember a double line, I always use just one…this is better! Bold and Bright colors too…how very Beautiful!
I love the simple beauty of this card! So perfect for summer!
Love the oversized seashells and the scored panel reminds me of a boardwalk!
