Hello Loverlies!
Today is a SUPER EXCITING day! It’s DeNami Design release and I have to say, the new stuff is AWESOMESAUCE!
There are so many new garden themed images in this release I had a hard time choosing which ones I wanted to play with! GORGEOUS STUFF, I swear!
Up first I’ve got a fun card using the new Solid Leaf Vine (I68), an image from the Garden Accents Petite Four (PF58), a butterfly from the previously released Fancy Flutters cling mounted set (CL-GD001). The butterfly was colored in using Copic markers and to finish of the card I added a bit of Crystal Lacquer to the body of the butterfly, stamped the Thinking of You cling sentiment and added a hand drawn flutterby trail to finish off the card. It’s ALMOST a one-layer card…two simple layers actually, a green card base and a white card panel that all the stamping was done on.
If you’ve been a blog reader for any amount of time or have browsed through my creations, you probably noticed that I LURVE to create things that AREN’T a card! Notebooks and notepads are always a favorite and super quick and easy to make!
The next project isn’t just easy, it’s pretty darn cheap too and looks FAB! I purchased a kraft notepad with a magnetic closure from the $1 section of a local craft store (Craft Warehouse) and got out the Solid Leaf Vine (I68) image again and randomly stamped all over the notebook cover using green ink. Then I took a flower image from the NEW Whimsical Garden cling set (CL-GD009) and stamped in between the leaf vine images using a dark + bright red ink. Originally when I was creating the notepad I had planned on including a stamped sentiment on the cover that would have been layered but I after playing around with the placement I decided not to.
I love the simplicity of the design and also like that there won’t be any “extra fluff” that would get caught when I throw this pretty in my purse.
Last but certainly not least, a fun Valentine card for all you Chickie fans out there! It’s hard to tell from the photo but this card actually has FIVE layers! The black card base, pink panel, white panel, black strip and finally the frame. Not only does the card have five layers, it also uses FOUR new DeNami Design stamps!
Using the NEW Berry Wreath (F229) and pink ink, I stamped the white card panel to create a background pattern. I then took a scrap piece of white cardstock and stamped the new Elegant Square Frame (M79). LOVE this stamp! I then stamped the Cupid Chickie (C97) and the Love You Forever sentiment (E162) I fussy cut the frame ** QUICK TIP – after you fussy cut, take a black marker and run along the outside of your cut image to make your cuts look perfect ** I added a bit of color to the frame and the chickie using my Copic markers and took my Signo white gel pen to create faux stitching.
