Spring Box using DeNami Design stamps

K88-Grass-Border

Hello Loverlies!

Today the DeNami Design Team is featuring a fabulous stamp that’s perfect for the upcoming Spring season! The Grass Border stamp is on sale this week for 10% off (no coupon code required)…YAY!

For today’s project I used a fun balsa wood box that I found in the dollar spot at Michael’s. Besides the Grass Border stamp I also used the Decorative Butterfly Petit Four, the Garden Accent Petit Four and the Spring Greetings sentiment.

One thing I learned while working on this project is, if you’re stamping directly onto the untreated box, pigment ink tends to work better as you can see in the photos. The flowers were stamped with a red pigment ink while the rest of the designs were stamped with dye based ink. I didn’t mind the way the lines bled a little for the butterflies and grass, I think it gives it a little movement feel. Next time I stamp another box, I’m digging out all my pigment inks instead!
